Snow day!

It is a rare occasion when work calls and tells me not to come in. Today, it was because of the snow. Lots and lots of snow. Feet of snow in fact. It seems winter is finally here. The driveway has been cleared a total of three times today. During one of those times I thought I'd take a picture of my car...It's under there somewhere.

The kindness of neighbors never fails to astonish me. Our neighbor has used his snowblower on our driveway twice today. We never asked him to, he just did it out of the goodness of his heart (or an insane desire to be out in this:I believe a batch of cookies is in order.

As for what I've been doing with all this extra time... I started the sleeves. In fact, I'm nearly finished with sleeve number two. You may have guessed by how quickly I'm finishing them that I decided to go with the 3/4 sleeves. I'll spare you a picture since we all know what sleeves look like.

There's only so much knitting I can do in one day though. At least, this mindless sort of knitting I've been doing. Surprisingly I haven't quite gotten cabin fever yet. A bit of homework got my brain working for awhile and shoveling the driveway got my blood pumping, plus some much needed house-cleaning have all been keeping me busy. I guess having a snow day isn't all bad.

Wow! That is a lot of snow! Your neighbor was probably enjoying playing with his "toy", the snowblower.

I love snow days. To me they are nature's way of saying, "You all need to stay home and relax." Then again there is the snow to dig out.
My grandfather used to get out with his snowblower and do half the neighborhood. He just liked being out in it and said that the neighbors do enough for them to make it all even.

omg Erin what fun! Something about a man and his snowblower... DH is the same way. Just whisper the word snow and he's out there fiddling with it... you know, just in case.

I can't wait to see the sweater. I'm glad you got a snow day, gives you a chance to make some real progress!!

Well isn't that just crappy! CNY weather is just awful. Can't wait until you don't live in Watertown! Oh- and I'm sure your sweater is fabulous :)

Wow! Good thing you don't have cabin fever. If you did, then you'd have to go out into the stuff for awhile!

You are missing the purpose of a snow day!

Tea or cocoa. Knitting. TV. Pet the kitty.

See? Easy stuff.

Shovel the driveway? It's gonna melt by itself at some point. :-D
